Redstone Robotics is made up of students from New Century Technology High School, Lee Pre-Engineering Magnet High School, and Columbia High School. Columbia High School is a new recruit to our team this year and the newest high school in Huntsville.
Our name comes from the redstone rocket that was developed in Huntsville in the early fifties. The rocket was named for Redstone Arsenal, an army base where the rocket scientists worked.
This year we also spent time mentoring Sparkman Middle School. We helped them design and build a functional robot.
